SO easy, even a kid can do it!
The Y-wings start their attack run. I use long pieces of clear plastic, wider than the trench, to support ships flying over the trench rather than down in it. Starfighters have to execute a 'talon roll' to enter the trench. When Imperial ships enter the trench, the trench laser batteries go silent.
